What is Alabama SUN Bucks?
Alabama SUN Bucks is a summer nutrition program that provides eligible families with a one-time $120 grocery benefit per child. These benefits are loaded onto an EBT card and can be used to purchase groceries at participating stores, farmers markets, and online retailers.
Who is Eligible?
Your child may be automatically enrolled if:

They attended a school participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) during the 2024-2025 school year.

Your household receives benefits like SNAP, TANF, Medicaid (through school demonstration project), or your child is in foster care, homeless, migrant, or enrolled in Head Start.
If your child is not automatically enrolled, you can apply online or by submitting a paper application.
